Mrs Mason’s Grade One Class

On Thursday, we went to Toys Garden Restaurant and we had Chinese food for lunch. It was nice. Then we went for a look in the garden. It was pretty and we learnt how to use chopsticks. We had lots of fun. Then we went through the moon gate. It gave me good luck. Then we saw a pretend wall and it was big and I saw some little fish.

I had a wonderful day at the Chinese Restaurant. In our class we made a passport with our names and photos on it. Then we went to Mrs Brauer’s class to learn how to use chopsticks. After, we went to Mrs Perry’s class to learn how to use our manners. Then we went to Mrs John’s class to make a Chinese hat. Mrs Mason took a photo of our class. Then we went on the bus. Then we did some activities in our books. Then we had lunch. After lunch we had a look around the garden and we saw the Great Wall of China. Then we went back on the bus. Then we made fans. After we made our fans, it was time to go home.

On Thursday I got to school. I got ready. We all got into activities. Erin’s mum came and she cooked some things. They were good. We had fortune cookies. They had good news in them. I went to snack. We went to the Chinese place. I had three serves. I was full. We all got good luck for the day by going through the moon gate. We saw the Great Wall of China.

We have been enjoying learning about healthy eating, the tongue and taste and about foods that we enjoy from other countries. We are all enjoying the show and tell sessions. Many interesting kitchen items, some interesting fruits and vegetables and some wonderful pictures for food from around the world have added to our discussions.

We are now beginning the unit: People Who Help Us and their Clothes. I hope we can have lots of fun studying this topic.

We made Pteranodons and they are flying in our room. We wrote stroies about our flying Dinosaurs.

 We painted some very big dinosaurs. They are roaming around the back of our room.

I brought some dinosaurs to school. One could walk by its self.

We are making fossils today. We are using plaster and play dough.
